across和through都用於表示“穿過”。acorss著重指從一條直線或一物體表面的一邊到另一邊，表示遊渡，乘船過海或過河時用across;through含有“從......中間穿過”之意。
He can swim across the river.
他能遊過這條河。
She had to push her way through the crowd to get to her son.
她必須擠過人群才能到她的兒子面前。
over多指在空間範圍上“穿越”，面past指“經過”。
The plane flew over a line of mountains in the south-east.
飛機從東南方的一座座同上飛過。
They walked past a tall tree.
他們從一棵大樹旁走過。
