Kratois an Italian brand that specializes in one-of-a-kind jewelry exclusively for bearded men,created by Valeria Stroukova in 2016.Valeria Stroukova has been working as a product/graphic designer since 2011.
Krato是一個僅為蓄鬚男士提供獨一無二首飾的意大利品牌，由Valeria Stroukova創立於2016年。Valeria 從2011開始擔任產品及平面設計師工作。
In 2014 she relocated from Toronto to Milan. While living in Milan and being inspired by rich Italian culture, extravagancy of fashion world, and popularity of beards, Valeria got an idea of jewelry for the beard.Krato brand mane originated from Kratos - Greek mythological figure of power and war. The brand name signifies masculinity and courage (courage for being unique and daring to stand out).
Beard opens numerous possibilities for self-expression since its uniqueness varies in shape, style, size, and architectural grooming. Research shows that both men and women from various cultures agree that bearded men appear more mature, powerful, attractive, and of higher social status than clean-shaven men.
鬍鬚為展示個性提供了諸多可能，因為鬍鬚具有不同的形狀、風格、長短、結構等修飾特徵。研究顯示不同文化背景下的男人及女人都認為蓄鬚男士比不蓄鬚的男士看起來更加成熟、強勢、迷人，以及具有更高的社會地位。
It has taken over a year to design and perfect Krato beard jewel. The biggest challenge was to develop a functional clip that would firmly attach onto the beard while being comfortable to wear. For this reason, the clip went through many design alterations and various hand-made and 3D printed prototypes before the triangular spiral shape was born.
The triangular clip fastens onto the beard by rotating the spiral into the beard hair, which allows for durable and comfortable hold. Krato’s clip was tested on various beard types. To hold well on the beard, minimum 3cm of hair length is recommended.
Valeria花費了一年多的時間對鬍鬚首飾進行設計及測驗。最大的挑戰是設計一個可以舒適佩戴並能保證穩固性的夾子。由於這個因素，夾子的設計及製作嘗試了許多不同的方式，包括手工起版及3D打印等。
為了把鬍鬚首飾穩固地系在鬍子上，最終夾子被設計成若干圈螺旋三角形底座。將鬍鬚旋轉進螺旋三角形底座後，即可保證佩戴的持久及舒適。Valeria在許多蓄鬚男士的鬍鬚上對底座進行了測驗，結果非常成功。此外，為了保證正常的佩戴，鬍鬚必須長於3cm。
It’s first collection, Krato unveiled on Kickstarter crowd-funding platform in September 2016. Within few weeks of the launch the campaign reached its funding goal and since then beard jewels have become a new trend in beard styling. Krato’s accessories significantly differ from anything that existed on the market till now, becoming a real breakthrough in the area of beard products.Being a truly unique brand, Krato is for those who want not only to stand out of the crowd, but also to be ahead of the crowd!
