chance 和 opportunity 都能表示“機會、機遇”。chance 常意味著因為運氣或偶然而出現的機遇,含有僥倖的意味在內；opportunity 特指機遇；假如說你要感謝某人給你賺錢升官發財的機會，那你就應該說Thank you for this opportunity.而不是 Thank you for this chance.
