traffic sign
traffic sign中文翻譯為“交通標誌”, traffic sign的種類很多,大致分為以下幾類: warning signs(警告標誌)、 restrictive signs(限制標誌)及 informational signs(指示標誌)等。 warning signs是正三角形的牌子,目的是要開車的人和行人提高警覺,注意道路上的特殊情況,並做好應變的準備。restrictive signs有圓形的、八角形的、倒三角形的,目的是要開車的人和行人嚴格遵守標誌上的內容。 informational signs是用來引導人們怎麼走才能到達目的地。
parking
parking的中文解釋為“停車;停車場”,“停車的說法有很多,與parking相關的詞組有parking lot(停車場)、 parking space(停車位)、 parking garage(室內停車場)、 handicapped parking(殘障人士專用停車位)、 parking meter(停車計時器)、 parallel parking(並排停車)visitor's parking(訪客停車位)、 valet parking(代客停車)、 underground parking(地下停車場)、parking tower(立體停車場)等
drunk driving
