春天到了，給大家分享一本很棒的春天繪本吧！
Little Critter系列的《Just a kite》，很適合在這個陽光明媚的日子讀給孩子聽。
故事講的是一家人開開心心去放風箏，結果風箏壞了。為了安慰孩子，little critter的爸爸首先想到的就是再去商店裡買一個風箏。
結果商店的風箏也賣完了。
面對這樣的情況，作為父母，我們應該如何引導孩子積極解決問題呢？
好的故事總是一波三折。即使受到多次挫折，我們依然有辦法應對，最終收穫一個圓滿的結局。
這個故事向孩子們傳遞了這樣的理念：辦法總比困難多，永遠不要放棄
現在我就帶大家一起讀一讀：
I see a kite at the hobby store.
I say, “That's the one I want.”
我在專賣店裡看到了一隻風箏。
我說：“我想要那隻風箏。”
We take my new kite home.
I put it together. Dad helps.
我們帶著我的新風箏回家了。
爸爸幫我把風箏組裝好。
Saturday is the Critterville Kite Flying Contest.
I take my kite out to practice.
週六是小毛人鎮的放風箏比賽。
我要出去練習放風箏。
My Dad and I go to the park. It is a very windy day.
爸爸和我一起去了公園。今天是個大風天。
Dad says, “watch out for trees!”
Oops, too late. My kite gets caught.
爸爸說：“小心大樹！”
糟糕，太晚了。我的風箏被卡在樹上了。
Dad saves my kite. But my kite is all ripped up.
爸爸爬到書上，把我的風箏取了下來。但是我的風箏已經破損了。
I cry. Dad says, “Don't worry. We can get another one.”
我傷心地哭了起來。爸爸說：“別擔心。我們可以再買一個新的。”
But the store is sold out.
I say,” I will miss the contest!”
I am brave and only cry a little.
但專賣店已經賣完了。
我說：“我將要錯過比賽了。”
我很勇敢，只是哭了一小會兒。
Dad says, “I have an idea.”
He calls Grandpa.
Grandpa will build a new kite.
爸爸說：“我有個主意。”
他給爺爺打了電話，爺爺可以為我做一個嶄新的風箏。
Grandpa goes to his workshop.
He builds a special kite just for me.
Grandpa brings it to me.
爺爺在他的工作坊，為我做了一個獨一無二的風箏。
爺爺把風箏給我帶來了。
It has no decorations on it.
I do some special art on it.
We are ready to try it out.
風箏上沒有任何裝飾。
我自己畫了特別的藝術作品。
我們已經準備好去試飛風箏了。
My kite flies well at the park.
It goes fast. It goes high.
Too high. It disappears.
我的風箏在公園裡飛得可好了。
它飛得很快，很高。太高了。它消失不見了。
“Oh, no!” I say. "My kite is gone!”
“哦，不！”我說。“我的風箏沒了！
"Yep, it's gone, " says Grandpa.
“The string broke.” “Let's go shopping.”
“是的，它飛走了。”爺爺說。
“風箏的線斷了。咱們去商店吧。”
I ask, "Why, Grandpa?"
"It's a surprise,” Grandpa says.
我問：“為什麼啊爺爺？”
“是一個驚喜喲。”爺爺說。
We go to the hardware store.
We go to the lumber yard.
We go to the art supply store.
我們去了五金店，
我們去了木材廠。
我們去了藝術用品店。
I ask, " what's all this stuff for?”
“You'll see,” says Grandpa.
Grandpa goes to Dad's shop.
我問：“這些東西是做什麼用的？”
“待會兒就知道啦。”爺爺說。
爺爺去了爸爸的商店。
He is there for a long time.
He won't tell me anything at dinner or at bedtime.
他在商店裡呆了很久。
晚飯時，睡覺時，他都沒有告訴我任何事情。
In the morning, I find Grandpa's surprise for me.
It's an amazing new kite.
在早上，我發現了爺爺給我的驚喜。
它是一個棒極了的新風箏。
We all go to the Kite Flying Contest.
My kite flies great!
我們一起去了放風箏比賽。
我們的風箏飛得很高很遠，棒極了！
I don't win a ribbon for the highest kite or the fastest kite.
I win a ribbon for the most original kite!
我並沒有得到“飛得最高的風箏”或者“飛得最快的風箏”的獎勵。
我贏得了最佳風箏設計獎。
I say, “It's just a kite my Grandpa made for me!”
我自豪地說：“這只是我的爺爺親手為我做的風箏!”
