不管是秀場T臺還是婚禮舞臺，臺前禮服在聚燈光下流光溢彩星光閃耀不過一瞬的事，經歷從圖稿到打版修版、選料、樣衣製作、到正式製作和後期調整，整個製作過程卻要花費好幾個月甚至整年的時間。其間少不了刺繡、釘珠、珠繡、串珠、燙鑽、結繩等繁複工藝，還有蕾絲的裙襬、刺繡的蘭花、釘珠的映襯，貼身的透氣薄棉材質，都無不勾勒出典雅精緻。試想假如世界上所有城市的天空都綴滿釘珠，或是下起如珠片般璀璨的美妙雨滴，這該是多麼令人嚮往的理想國度！

手工釘珠為經過專業的手工（或機器）訂珠和珠片縫合而成的，材質通常為塑珠，玻璃珠，金屬珠，水晶珠。有些比較奢侈華麗的服裝，都會用上高檔珍珠，黃金。手工釘珠作為眾多禮服裝飾工藝的一種，其組合排列方式的不同會形成不同的藝術效果，但有一點是一樣的，都是同樣的耀眼璀璨。
