consist of可以譯為“包括”嗎？

經常在譯文中看到有的譯友將consist of譯為“包括”，這其實是經不起推敲的。包括英文最常見的是include，合同中也常用到，其後面列舉的是一個或者一系列並非詳盡的事項，表示除了列舉的事項外，還有其他的事項，而consist of後面列舉的是詳盡無遺的事項，比如：

Most of these groups consist of graduate students and faculty.

絕大多數的小組由研究生和教職人員組成。

說明這些小組由研究生和教職人員組成，除此之外，沒有其他。

而Most of these groups include graduate students.

這樣表達並不能說明沒有其他成員。
