measure noses
千萬不要以為是“測量鼻子”哦，其實是相遇的意思。
例句：

他們相遇在一個炎熱的夏日午後。
run/come /fall/drop/stumble across
偶遇，突然遇見 。多用以上動詞表偶然碰到、發現某人。
例句：
That celebrity[siˈlebriti] was run across by strangers in a cinema.
那位明星在電影院被路人偶遇。
He stumbled across his friend at a cofffee shop.
他在一家咖啡館裡碰見了好友。
run into
不經意間撞見某人：不期而遇，多指認識的人。
例句：
She ran into her ex in the street.
她在街上突然撞見前任。

encounter
邂逅，現多用於與陌生人的邂逅，帶有濃厚感情色彩。
例句：
They encountered each other on a journey.
他們在一次旅行中邂逅彼此。
reencounter
"re"前綴表“again”(再一次)；再一次相遇即重逢。
例句：
The world is too big, maybe we seperate and never reencounter.
世界太大，或許分離就很難再重逢。
reunite
"unite"本意是“統一、團結”，加上前綴“re”, 表“重逢、再次團聚”。
例句：
Parents reunited with their lost child.
父母最終與自己失散多年的孩子重逢了。
cross somebody's path
相當於“come into unavoidable confrontation[ˌkɔnfrʌnˈteɪʃən]（不可避免的正面相對）”, 指“狹路相逢，冤家路窄”，多指與自己不喜歡的人相遇。
例句：
The wicked [ˈwɪkɪd] man crossed my path in hotel.
我與一位壞人在酒店裡面狹路相逢。
once-in-a-life-time encounter
一期一會。源於日本茶道；意為人生中僅有的一次相遇，要誠心招待，珍惜相遇的緣分。
例句：
Maybe it's a once-in-a-life-time encounter; hence we should cherish each meeting.
每一次相遇都有可能是人生中僅有的一次，因此我們應該要好好珍惜。
Fate brings together people who are far apart.
